Katie Turner


Katie has played recreational and competitive soccer with CYSA since she was 5 years old, and was a 4-year varsity letter winner, and captain her senior season. She has also coached for our Little Net Busters program for the last 6 summers. She feels being a member of a team has helped her build character, sportsmanship, and taught her how to work hard and challenge herself to reach her goals. Katie also played Varsity basketball and competes for the track & field team, captaining those teams as well. She will finish her high school academic career with a 4.0+ GPA, and was a member of National Honor Society, Junior Rotarian, Link Crew, Student Council, and the Junior & Senior Executive Boards, as well as the editor of the yearbook her junior and senior years. She will continue playing next fall as a Northern Michigan University Wildcat while pursuing a degree in Clinical Health Sciences- Pre-Med.
Sam Bailey


Sam was a player in CYSA for 8 years, a referee for 3, as well as a 3-year varsity letter winner and senior captain. Sam feels soccer has shown him that hard work pays off. Sam is also a strong performer in the classroom, carrying a 3.98 GPA through high school. He also plays tennis, and participates in Link Crew, Junior Rotarian, and attended the Scott Anderson Leadership Forum. Sam will continue his education in teh fall at the University of North Dakota pursuing a degree in Air Traffic Management.
