Competitive Soccer Registration Open

Competitive and Rec plus Soccer Registration for Spring 2021 is October 5-14. The link to register is posted below. If necessary, tryouts will be held late afternoon on Sunday, October 18th.

If our season is cancelled due to COVID-19, full refunds will be issued. There may be an option, at that time, for a modified season, and those details will be communicated as needed.

Competitive Program: A high level of commitment is expected from competitive players. The program includes a regular season and weekend tournaments. Half of the regular season games will be played in the Minneapolis area on week nights, and some will be on school nights. Weekend tournaments may require a hotel stay.

Competitive Fees
$325 registration fee. A $175 minimum down payment is required to register plus $65 uniform fee. Everyone will need a new uniform.

U13 – Boys or Girls; Birth Year 2008
U14 – Boys or Girls; Birth Year 2007
U15 – Boys or Girls; Birth Year 2006
U16 – Boys or Girls; Birth Year 2005
U17 – Boys or Girls; Birth Year 2004
U18 – Boys or Girls; Birth Year 2003

REC Plus Program: Teams play in 3-4 weekend tournaments. They do not have weekly games. Each player will play half the game in minutes, unless there is an injury or discipline. Teams are filled on a first come first serve basis.

Rec Plus Fees
A $100 registration fee payment is due at registration plus $45 uniform fee. Everyone will need a new uniform. Tournament fees will be assessed as soon as tournaments for each team have been decided. The tournament fees will be split between all players.

U12 – Boys or Girls; Birth Year 2009


2020 CYSA Scholarships Awarded

Congratulations to our second annual CYSA scholarship award winners for 2020.

Kathryn Owens

Kate has played soccer for 13 years, coming up through CYSA in the youth and competitive programs. She was also a 4-year Varsity soccer letter winner, and captain her senior year. She feels soccer, and being part of team sports, has made her a true team player and helped develop her leadership skills.
Kate was also a 4-year Varsity basketball player, captaining that team her senior year as well. Kate finished her high school career with a 4.0+ GPA, and was a member of Link Crew, the Junior & Senior Executive Boards, Student Council, and was involved with the Fall Musical. She will be attending the University of Wisconsin- Madison in the fall to pursue a degree in business.

Ryan Conway

Ryan has played soccer for 13 years, coming up through CYSA in the youth and competitive programs. He was a 3-year Varsity soccer letter winner, and captain his senior year. Ryan was a member of the All-Star team his senior year, and also named LSC All-Conference Honorable Mention. He feels soccer has taught him patience, self-discipline, and leadership skills he can take into his future career. Ryan also participated in track, nordic skiing, tennis, and the club volleyball team. He finished high school with a 3.5 GPA. He will be attending the University of Wisconsin- Superior in the fall to pursue a degree in computer science.
